Fairies with dirty fingers



The wheelbarrow fairy got very dirty fingers today. There's a hole in her gloves and she's been potato picking. If fairies buy cheap gloves they've got to expect nails that look like they've dug their way out of a grave! But at least the sun shone and work got done, although, and I don't know how, the worksurfaces in the kitchen have once again dissapeared under vegetables. Mainly tomatoes..again.

And there's a new frying pan in our lives. Picked it up and said 'yep thats heavy enough to knock out a burglar' Thats how i judge kitchenware, if it'll render unwanted visitors unconscious it'll do for me!

Above is the potato hoover. No idea why its called a hoover, it doesn't suck! It's from the 1950's and we use it every year. We likes things very OS here! Just like the tractor! The hoover just rumbles along and chucks potatoes out the back. Then I and OH if I havn't brained him for doing it wrong, pick them up in little red baskets then tip them in bags. So fairy has very achy legs today as the ground is further down than it was last year!

Ok, however many times I move this picture this is where it wants to be! Syd..the wheelbarrow fairies mode of transport, passed his MOT today. Isn't he a pretty boy!!

Ah draining board jenga..bet you wouldn't want to try to get a glass from the bottom would you? And yes, I know, my saucepan is lookin old..but its huge and I love it ( a little like the fairy :-P)

Egg fried rice

for tea..I love this as its so cheap and filling! Cup of rice, boiled for 8 mins then steamed for 20 mins, then allowed to cool. Cup of frozen peas, pinged in the micro for 2 mins, 1/4 cup of cooked chicken bits, an onion, 2 tbsp of soy sauce and an egg a piece made into thin omelettes one at a time then shredded. Yum!
